The front and rear axle of the vehicle works independently. Unless you have different type of absorber for left and right side, if not, there will not be any harm using either gas or hydraulic on different axle. Tks
The shock absorber is the oil that functions as a device to regulate the collision of the vehicleâ??s suspension and spring. The key role of this oil is to guarantee the smooth connection of tires with the surface of the road in every weather condition.
100 cst refers to the viscosity of the oil used. More centistokes mean a higher resistance to fluid flow. To make the shock absorber feel firmer, use a more viscous oil, or to make it feel softer use a thinner oil.
"It is an inert gas for one reason, it is also larger than a molecule of air, so it has a harder time leaking out." Also, when the oil inside of a shock/strut heats up it can foam (this is called aeration), the nitrogen gas prevents this from happening.
The engine number on all Vino scooters is on the rider's left of the machine near where the rear shock absorber is bolted to the engine. The number is stamped on the flat upper surface of the crankcase between the oil plug and shock absorber bolt. You don't need to remove body panels.
yes
Loss of oil due to a leak, loss of nitrogen gas, or contamination of the oil inside the shock.
103.5 ml - suzuki raider manual :)
This bike takes 0.9 liters or 1.0 US quart of front shock absorber oil.
The last set of these that I fitted, were vauxhall supplied, and required just fitting. They were oil filled and ready to go. Don't think I remember any that could be filled with oil, just regard them like a big shock absorber.
Depending on the design, some hydraulic shock absorbers can be repaired. In some cases, drilling a hole, draining the old oil, flushing with a lighter oil, and then replacing with standard shock absorber oil, and welding shot the oil may work. But these repairs are usually not long lasting.
