Yes it can, I was on Lipitor for years and one day I experienced Atrial Fibrulation, the doctors said it was caused by alcohol so I gave up the drink. I had three more episodes over two years and then they stopped but I continued having Heart Palps and Ectopic beats. The doctor said he can perform an ablation procedure and that will fix the ectopic beats, if it bothered me we can do it now he said. I thought I would wait to see if it got worse, then one day after I had my bloods checked the doc noticed that my liver enzymes were up a bit, he said ''it could be lipitor so lets put you on Crestor'' I thought ''STUFF IT'' I;ve had enough of these pills so I just stopped taking them and decided to eat better, drink fish oil and have a sip of vinegar daily, on the second day after I stopped Lipitor I noticed that my ectopic beats had stopped, my palps had stopped my heart rate changed for the better, I noticed that my legs felt better, stronger, even my sex drive improved and even became stronger if you know what I mean. Lipitor did all this I dont care what anyone says, I will never take statin drugs again.
