if you watch the news or look at the Yahoo site, you may see that there have been multiple deaths from whales. there have been deaths in water park places like sea world. they can drown you, and they are aggressive. not long ago i read about a man going swimming with a whale at night(don't know why. suicide?) and they found him in the morning with no clothes on. there were signs that the whale ripped at him and shook him, making his swimming trunks come off. there are certain kinds of whales that are not dangerous, but well known whales (orcas) are known to be dangerous. FYI sharks are not meant to kill people. they actually do not like the taste of human. the reason so many people escape shark attacks are b/c the shark spits them out. the only shark that doesn't bite is the Whale Shark. it doesn't make sense to me the name of it.

The following answer is purely an opinion and should be treated as one. I'm not sure if it's dangerous, but it sure is stupid. People are unnecessarily killing thousands of whales. Whales are amazing animals, but the industry is intent on pushing them to extinction. Norway and Japan are idiots.

Sometimes whales can be deadly, if they swallow people whole and shoot them out their spout they have a chance of living, but if the whale does not swallow whole they can be very deadly! But sometimes they will cooperate.

No, humpback whales aren't dangerous to humans. If u get near there tail or flippers you might get injured, but you could swim right pass them and they shouldn't harm you.
