Are we going into World War 3?

Not currently, no.

Perhaps in the future, a large war will break out between two rival nations, and the allies will seek to support one or the other.

However, in the modern day, despite what is advertised, tensions are lower than they have been in a long time. The four most aggressive countries at this time are the United States, Russia, China, and North Korea.

1 & 2. The United States and Russia are both in conflicts in the Middle East; however, seem to be cooperating with each other.

3. China is very cooperative (compared to the past) in dealing with the concerns with North Korea; however, have used more aggressive tactics in the Pacific and by the Bahamas and Cuba.

4. North Korea is, more-or-less, a loose cannon. No one is willing to cooperate with them, but no one is willing to confront them either. This tactic is simply aggravating them, thus they'll become more aggressive in the future. That being said, North Korea, at this time, is not a direct threat to the United States (in contrary of what is advertised), and does not have the capability of doing a significant amount of damage to the United States. However they are a direct threat, and they arecapable of doing significant damage to countries like China, South Korea, and Japan.

So, in totality, there may be a future confrontation in the Korean conflicts; however, this will not be a world-altering event as people seem to fear. The U.S, Russia, and China are fairly cooperative with each other at this time.

Perhaps, before such an unfortunate event occurs, our world leaders will understand the phrase,

"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."
