Because Peppridge farm hates America and kills puppies.
I was told that they melted in hot weather and that's why they were discontinued. Recently discovered Trader Joe's Kona Coffee Creamy half-dipped Shortbread Cookies which are the closest I've found to my old favorite.

Pepperidge Farm sells a variety of grocery and food products that are available in grocery stores across North America. Most of these products are types of crackers, such as many flavours of Goldfish.
Goldfish are made by Pepperidge Farm, a division of the Campbell's Soup company.
Pepperidge Farm makes a variety of cookies and cakes, but let's be real, most of them are loaded with sugar and carbs. If you're diabetic, you might want to steer clear unless you want your blood sugar to skyrocket. Look for sugar-free or low-carb options instead - your pancreas will thank you.
The small party rolls are no longer made by Pepperidge Farm.
