Foxes are well known for being deceptive as a well means in a the hopes of survival in adapting to certain predators that may come to prey on them. Certain species of fox have been known to adapt in specific harsh environments such as the desert and tundra. Also a red fox's mortality rate depends on the number of kits being born in the hopes of the offspring adapting in that season.
