Because people find Alaska to be mysterious. Everyone who has never been to Alaska, or have heard stories from people who have been, believe Alaska to be a barren wasteland consisting only of snow and Eskimos huddling in their igloos. However Alaska is truly a beautiful state with many unique individuals coming from many different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Alaska is not simply Eskimos ice fishing and building igloos, but a land with cities and villages. In the villages they have regular houses and snow machines. In the city, it's just like any other place in America, except for a lot more natives running around.
