IT IS PART OF THE MONUMENT The Four Corners is the only place in the United States where four states come together at one place. The Four Corners has the states Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah. The monument is located in the desert on the Navajo Indian Reservation. On the Four Corners it says IN FREEDOM UNDER GOD FOUR STATES HERE MEET. Then in the middle there is a bronze disk that has all the four states. Above the word Utah and Colorado it says U.S. DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR. Below the words Arizona and New Mexico it says 1992 CADASTRAL SURVEY BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT. This permanent marker is exactly on the four states. The first permanent marker at the point was placed in 1912. The Four Corners Monument was first surveyed by the US Government Surveyors in 1868. Surveys followed of New Mexico's west border and Utah's east boundary in 1878. The northern of Arizona was surveyed in 1901. This is a place where you can put each of hands and feet in four states at once. The Four Corners Monument has a per person admission fee. Explain how the four rings in the Ark of the Covenant illustrate the number four in the New Testament?

The explanation for the attempt to link the four rings on the four corners of the Ark of the Covenant with the New Testament, is that some will go to any lengths to try to show that the New Testament was foreshadowed in some way by the Old Testament. If the Ark was a real artefact, then it is natural that it would have four rings, one at each corner. Bishop Irenaeus insisted that there be exactly four gospels in the New Testament, just as there are four winds - thus also implying four corners. Apart from this, there is no genuine link between the four rings and the four gospels.

How do Mexico's holidays and art show the influence of Mexico's history?

Of course. Mexico is a mix of three cultures, including the Native American culture (800-1521 AD), Spanish culture (1521-1821) and the Mexican culture, after Mexico attained its independence from Spain in 1821. Most cultural traits, including holidays and art tend to show Mexico's past influences.
