n. Psychology.

A natural, usually unvarying response evoked by a stimulus in the absence of learning or conditioning.


 
 
Sports Science and Medicine: unconditioned response

An original or inborn response such as salivation stimulated by food in the mouth, withdrawal from an injurious stimulus, or contraction of the pupil to light. In classical conditioning, an unconditioned response is elicited by an unconditioned stimulus.
