TAXI, is an independently owned advertising agency, which was founded in 1992. Over the past fifteen years the company has expanded to five locations in Canada (TAXI and TAXI II in Toronto, TAXI Montreal, TAXI Calgary, TAXI Vancouver) and one in the U.S. (TAXI New York)
TAXI was founded by Paul Lavoie, chairman and chief creative officer and Jane Hope, Exec-VP, design creative director. Paul Lavoie has highlighted collaboration and good working relationships as the key to TAXI's success
In 2007, TAXI Canada won a total of six Lions from the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival in a variety of mediums including Film, Outdoor and Cyber/Online.
Two of Canada’s top ad-industry magazines have named TAXI “Agency of the Year” (Strategy Magazine, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005: Marketing Magazine, 2001, 2005, and Full Service/Creative agency of the Year for 2006). The U.S. trade group, the American Association of Advertising Agencies, in 2006 honored TAXI for creative excellence with the O’Toole Creative Excellence Award.
