  • Best Known As: Viktor Krum in the movie Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Stanislav Ianevski had the small role of Viktor Krum in the 2005 film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The film was based on the fourth book in the Harry Potter series by author J.K. Rowling. Krum is a student wizard and quidditch expert from a rival school called Durmstrang; he competes in the Triwizard Tournament with Potter (played by Daniel Radcliffe), Fleur Delacour (Clémence Poésy) and Cedric Diggory (Robert Pattinson). Ianevski, like Krum, is of Bulgarian descent; he was spotted by a casting director while attending an international school in London. Goblet of Fire was his first acting role. He also appeared in the horror film Hostel: Park II (2007, with Bijou Phillips).

The actor's name is sometimes spelled as Yanevski or Janevski... The character of Krum (and thus, Ianevski) did not appear in the fifth Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007).

Stanislav Ianevski (Bulgarian: Станислав Яневски) (born May 16, 1985) is a Bulgarian actor, known for playing Viktor Krum in the 2005 film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Ianevski was born in Bulgaria and has also lived in Israel and England, where he was known for his athletic skills. While attending Mill Hill School in the United Kingdom, Ianevski had no particular acting aspirations and was not a drama student. He had only auditioned for Potter after being spotted by Fiona Weir, a casting director who prompted him to attend an acting workshop, which resulted in his casting as Viktor Krum, a Bulgarian character in the Harry Potter series. He was selected from 600 others, most of whom had auditioned in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Ianevski's casting was announced in June 2004. During filming, he befriended fellow Potter actors Robert Pattinson and Emma Watson, who has referred to him as "very sweet". Ianevski also stars in Hostel 2, the sequel to Eli Roth's film Hostel.

Ianevski has a sister and several pets. He is a follower of the Bulgarian national football team.
