Sian James is a Welsh novelist who writes in English.

James was born near Llandysul in Carmarthenshire, and attended the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. She has twice won the Yorkshire Post Prize. Her work, A Small Country has been adapted for radio and has quickly become regarded as a classic of Anglo-Welsh literature [1] [2].
