Plot

A spoof of the then-current NBC medical documentary series Operation: Lifeline, "Pipeline" chronicles 24 hours in the life of plumber Vince Debaucheo (Eugene Levy). "The Doctor Braino Hour" looks more like a Roger Corman LSD flick as Braino (John Candy) gets by with a little help from his friend Doctor Psychedelic (Joe Flaherty). Mayor Shanks (Candy) delivers another imbecilic speech and feeds a candy bar to a stuffed animal, interrupting regular programming in the process. Liberace (Dave Thomas) provides tax advice. And "Passport to Adventure" hosts Bob and Betty (Thomas, Catherine O'Hara) demonstrate the techniques of "pain-free" party-giving (including taping down the furniture). ~ All Movie Guide
