Yes! about 40 years ago there was White Castle Hamburger in San Diego. It was on College Ave. just off the campus of San Diego State College which is now San Diego State University.

My family never ate there; we were McDonalds and Jack in the Box fans. However, I left home and went to Rutgers where White Castle 'rat burgers' were the rage. When I went back to San Diego, many years later, the White Castle was gone.
