Like has three senses in English. One means 'similar to' in this sense the the word is sadR^isham. सदृशम्/सदृशी/सदृशःUsage example.
He is like you. saH bhavataH(tava) sadR^ishaH eva. सः भवतः(तव) सदृशः एव ।
thereby likeness would become sAdR^ishyam.सादृश्यम्.
The other sense is a feeling that is not as intense as Love, but a positive emotion towards a person or thing. Now, for this in Sanskrit the only word I can think of right now is icChati.इच्छति/इच्छामि. Strictly speaking this could be used for desire as a verb. In fact icCha is closer to 'want'. I would like to revisit this question if I happen to find a different work which is as "weak" as like!
