Algebra 1 is a class/course that is on a higher level than Algebra.
1 answer
Pre-algebra preps you for algebra.
2nd answer:
Pre-AP-algebra is the same as Algebra I. Both are way harder than pre- algebra.
1 answer
foundations algebra is probably pre algebra, which is before algebra, so no.
1 answer
No. Pre-Algebra is taught to provide the ability to do certain mathematical equations before doing the more challenging math of Algebra I.
2 answers
it goes algebra 1, geometry, then algebra 2
1 answer
To do WELL in Algebra 2, you will need to remember part of Algebra 1. However, your teacher should go over part of Algebra 1. I did poorly in Algebra 1, though Algebra 2 now makes sense to me simply because I needed to understand it to understand Algebra 2, and I was able to infer the things that I was unsure of.
1 answer
The difference of algebra and algebra 1 is that in algebra they teach you the basics. For example, they teach you about variables, graphs, how to find slopes.
In algebra 1 they start using equations and and teach you how to work longer equations and all that jazz.
1 answer
They aren't
If you want to get smart, the difference is the 1
1 answer
algebra 1a is the first part of algebra 1 and algebra 1b is the second part.
:)
1 answer
Algebra 2 is harder and more complicated than Algebra 1. It also introduces more variables and harder equations.
1 answer
I think you mean Algebra 1 & 2
If you did, Algebra 1 is the basic stuff. Algebra 2, you get more complex, but it's still a basic idea.
1 answer
the grade that you learn algebra 1 is in the 7th and 8th grade. they split it to two parts algebra A and then Algebra B
1 answer
If you are intelligient and passed your algebra test in sixth grade,in seventh you will have Algebra 1 .If you pass Algebra 1 in seventh grade there is a possibility that you will get Algebra 2.Depends on what your teacher thinks about your behavior or citizenship.
1 answer
They are the same thing but when you go into Algebra 1a, its like part one, and there is a part b, and just algebra 1 is the same thing, but not in two parts. Some schools offer a two-year course that covers algebra 1 in two years. in this case, algebra 1a is less advanced than algebra 1, since the pace is only half as fast.
1 answer
It depends. My 8th grader takes Algebra 1. I think it counts as 9th grade math.
1 answer
Since "pre-" means before, then pre-algebra would be before algebra. Conversely, algebra would be after pre-algebra. Generally, the next class after a pre-algebra class would be Algebra I, followed by Algebra II.
3 answers
It depends on your school, but it is usually Algebra 1, Algebra 2, then Geometry.
1 answer
It depends on how far you are on Pre-algebra. If you don't know anything, I recommend you take Pre-algebra 1. If you are advanced in Pre-algebra and you know variables and expressions then I recommend you take Pre-algebra 2
1 answer
It isn't; the algebra 1 and 2 that you get taught in middle or high school is elementary algebra. When (if you want to) you get into more advanced algebra, you can learn linear algebra (matrix algebra) and abstract algebra (which involves sets, operations on sets, groups, and many more concepts), and probably several more types of algebra I've never heard of.
1 answer
yes you would have to because that would be the full course of algebra just at a slower and easier pace
1 answer
Pre Algebra: normally 7th and 8th grade
Algebra 1: normally 9th grade
1 answer
It depends on your school, but it is usually Algebra 1, Algebra 2, then Geometry.
1 answer
How do you pass Algebra 1?
go to class
do your work
be ontime
ask for help
1 answer
YEAH! Algebra 1 comes before geometry.
1 answer
well at my school our sixth graders learn pre algebra allready so i would say algebra part 1
1 answer
Algebra 1 is called 'AB' because it covers the first two parts of algebra, whereas algebra 2 is called 'BC' because it covers the second two parts.

Lizz Robbins was born on May 1, 1974, in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA.
1 answer
This depends on what Algebra Book you are referring to.

What is the answer for box 1 on mathbits pre algebra
1 answer
its math class its also the second highest math class the highest is Algebra 1!
2 answers
No, algebra 1 is defiantly not the same as math course 3.
1 answer
Algebra 1 half is easier than pre-algebra. Although students in school might learn the same concepts, Pre- Algebra covers everything faster. Maybe even the whole book (more than 696 pages) in 1 school year. Algebra 1 half covers about half of the book in one school year.
