Plot

Private investigator Laura Holt ( Stephanie Zimbalist) tries to run a private detective agency but can get no clients until she invents a suave employer, "Remington Steele." Business picks right up, but then more problems arise because her clients want to meet the fictional Steele. Things look embarrassingly bleak until a handsome British fellow shows up and introduces himself as Remington Steele (Pierce Brosnan). Though she knows nothing about him, the two team up and begin solving cases.
