How do I adjust the headlight beam on a peugeot 306?
Behind the light inside the bonnet is a black plastic cover. Turn it clockwise (while looking from the front of the car). This will expose the connections behind the lights. Pull out the blck socket / connection. Theres a clip holding the light in place and its a bit tricky to get off! At the top of the clip, you need to push the clip hard to the left to resease the clip and then you can move it down. Pull the old bulb out and then replace with the new one being careful not to touch the actual glass of the bulb. Reconnect in reverse. Hope this helps. Kate

How do you replace a handbrake cable for peugeot 406 estate?
With great difficulty. Not a job for the faint of heart, I've just finished after two days in and under the car. I only needed to replace the short section of brake cable to the passenger side but this is connected to the adjusting section of the handbrake which was seized up solid, a rusty mess. Maybe some heat and WD90 could have sorted it,
but it was in a plastic bracket!
So start at the handbrakes end, slide both front seats forward and you unscrew the two bolts either side of the rear of the handbrake housing. Now remove the ashtray section by sliding a thin blade around the perimeter locating the plastic holding down clips, and gently prize it out. Then you can see the clips holding the front of the gear stick trim panel push these and lift out up and over the gear stick out of the way. Remove the two screws on either side of the ashtray compartment and pop off the two side trims to the bulkhead. Next loosen the two floor bolts, remove the curved cover in front of the handbrake, and gently move back and up with the handbrake housing which should come loose from the bulkhead but anyway gives you the room to disconnect the handbrake cable from the ratchet mechanism by levering the cable out of its groove. The securing clip retaining the outer cable to the housing has two wings? that need to be pressed in, to allow its exit!
Next remove the 6 bolts holding the heat diffuser over the exhaust, a pits good for a lot of this, car jacks and brick stacks are a no no, axle stands, trolley jacks, wheel chocks, you are going to be doing a lot of pulling and beating under there ,you need to be safe. Unclip the two clips holding the cable to the floor plan under the diffuser and the remaining clips back to the junction. Now you should be able to pull the cable from the hand break area. There must be a tool that closes these wings? to allow the cable to come free, but pliars and brute force help. Now you have to remove the wheels and the drums from the offending side to remove the old cable. Freeing the nipple from the brake shoe, beating the outer cable loose from the back plate then the inner connection to the junction. Some of these connections are plastic some alloy, but surrounded in rusted steel, but need to be prized out using a hammer and a old screwdriver to prise them apart, with lubricant. Rerfitting is from the drums first, make sure all the outer casing connections are driven fully home and that you have a pair of mole grips to clamp the inner cable to allow your final connection beware cross threading. Bon voyage I've drunk three pints of homebrew writing this, maybe its helped. Not a job for a novice!
How do you remove a peugeot 206 front wing?
I need to do exactly the same thing. I've been searching the Internet for 2 hours and got 2 answers :
1 Buy a Haynes manual - cheapest I can find on Ebay is £9 including postage
2 Look here http://www.peugeot206cc.co.UK/repair-206/206/info/gb/c4ag0jf3.htm
Still seems a bit technical for me, for instance it says remove top and bottom grill to start with, but has diagrams and pics all the way through.
Will try it myself when my wing arrives.
Krakers.
Basically you have your two top bolts that are under the bonnet one near the light and one at the back then you have to remove the light one bolt ontop of the wedge looking clip then one to the right or left of the light behind the wing and a bolt behind the top grill you have to take it sorry. Then one he light(s) are off the bumper has two clips that go into the wing and a bolt in between you need to the take the bolt of then pull the bumper down so the clips come out of the holes. Then you need to remove the bolt at the front of the wing only a nut then theres another bolt near the door hinges you have o remove the inner wings to get to this two starkey screws at the bottom of sills and then just them stupid plastic clips. Theres another two starkey screws that secure the inner wing to the bumper but I reakon you can do without removing these. Then the wing just pulls up and off don't yank from the side as at the botom of the wing below the indicator theres a bracket that slots over a rubber mount :). Hope you have fun need more help add me to facebook. Thanks

How do you remove ignition barrel from a peugeot 205 without the key?
the problem is that the key is used (when inserted) to dis-engage the steering lock. If the lock is engaged you have a problem. The barrel itself is located/locked in the tube with a small locating bolt.To get at this ,however you need to remove the lower dash first and then the top housing. You will then be able to see the bolt head (6mm I think). On the underside of the barrel tube there is a spring loaded locator bar which must be pushed in and at the same time the barrel eased out (use a srewdriver). The wires from the switch go out to 2 connectors 1 brown (4 way) and one white (6 way)
the wiring must be freed from the loom and these plugs disconnected , they can then be fed back through the side of the steering barrel tube. Hope this helps Dave
If your Peugeot 306's brake light is not working, first check the bulb to see if it needs to be replaced. If the bulb is fine, check the fuse and the brake light switch. These components are common causes of brake light failures in vehicles.
unplug the temp sensor under the thermostat housing ,
How do you change a stop solenoid on 306?
If it is the original 306 up to about p reg before the facelift model then you just remove the wire from the cap and unscrew it with a socket. Easy!!
If it is the facelift model then it's protected as part of the immobilizer and is very difficult to remove for obvious reasons. Garage job..
