The Organization Development Network, also known as the OD Network, sees organizational development as a field central to creating effective and humanistically sound systems in the global business, governmental and non-profit community. The Network sees itself as an organization of professionals dedicated to being a leading force in the advancement of the theory and practice of organization development by:

  • Helping to formulate and promote the values, purposes and benefits of organization development
  • Promoting organization development principles, tools and best practices in an ethical and effective manner
  • Supporting practitioners in their organization development efforts around the world by providing them with learning and professional development opportunities
  • Providing a forum for OD practitioners, researchers and educators where they can share meaningful ideas and create dialogue on critical issues affecting the human element in corporations
  • Sharing leadership and partnering with others to achieve the network's vision

The OD Network is closely related to over 50 regional organization development networks throughout North America. It sponsors an annual conference and other professional development events. The OD Network publishes a number of respected professional publications, including: OD Practitioner, a quarterly peer-reviewed journal, and two online publications, Practicing OD and OD Seasonings.
