= Methylenedioxymethamphetamine, or 3,4-methylenedioxy-N-methylamphetamine, or MDMA.=
However, most ecstasy today is either low in MDMA or has no MDMA content. It is adulterated with a plethora of potentially dangerous substances. This is purely because the government has put a lot of restrictions on achieving the precursors to make the drug, so thus alternatives are undertaken by pill pressers and as a result dangerous non-MDMA drug cocktails are killing people.
Essentially it is largely the government's fault.

Scientifically ecstasy is known as 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine. Since that is a mouthful and is hard to say it is abbreviated to MDMA. You can abbreviate ecstasy with "X" or "XTC" but those are not official abbreviations like MDMA is. Ecstasy can also be known as Adam and if it is pure will sometimes be called Molly(Ecstasy off the street is almost never pure).

MDMA (3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine), commonly referred to as ecstasy or molly, is a drug that is sold either as a pressed pill taken orally, or as a powder that is snorted or swallowed. MDMA's effects resemble those of both stimulants and psychedelics.
MDMA was first synthesized in 1912 by Merck chemist Anton Köllisch in Germany.

The short answer is yes.
MDMA (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine) more commonly known as 'ecstacy', like many street drugs which increase the body's metabolic rate, contain amphetamines in varying degrees. Amphetamines cause the body to burn essential vitamins and minerals such as calcium at a much higher rate than normal. Consistent abuse can cause degredation of the teeth and bones. With mephamphetamine in particular, this condition is known as 'meth-mouth'.

Ecstasy (MDMA, or methylenedioxymethamphetamine) is cheap and not particularly difficult for a competent chemist to manufacture. An industrial scale MDMA lab could fit in half a large garage.
MDMA usually come in the form of small tablets, and a large quantity of them could be smuggled easily in a variety of ways. (Imagine all the ways you could smuggle in, say, a gallon of aspirin tablets over the Trans-Canada.) It could also be manufactured within the state, given decent lab facilities.

When referring to the fish, mollies are found in tropical areas that are influenced by tidal waves. Mollies are a good species to add to an aquarium (especially for beginners) because they are easy to care for and fare well in a brackish (semi-salty) aquarium in addition to a fresh water aquarium. They are also easy to breed and are fascinating to watch because they add drama to an aquarium.
If you are referring to Molly the drug, Molly is E, Ecstasy in the purest form of MDMA (3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine).
Try not to get the two confused. They are very different.

"Bars" are Xanax (alprozalam). "Rolls" are Ecstasy (methylenedioxymethamphetamine). The two substances could hardly be more different in their effects. Xanax is a powerful, short acting depressant, causing relaxation, euphoria, reduced anxiety, reduced inhibitions, and forgetfulness. Ecstasy is a stimulant and an empathogen, meaning it causes powerful feelings of love, compassion, and empathy, as well as "rushing" and general stimulation. It is agreed by most Ecstasy users that the experience of listening to music is greatly enhanced by the drug.

Opiate painkillers like morphine, codeine, heroin, oxycodone, hydromorphone, hydrocodone, etc. are central nervous system depressants, while Ecstacy, or MDMA (3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine) is a central nervous system stimulant of the amphetamine class.
They are polar opposites in types of medications, and taking them together makes them clash and causes all sorts of side effects and problems, and is very dangerous.
Not to mention the dangers of ecstasy .....

Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (called MDMA or Ecstasy) is classified as both a stimulant and a mild hallucinogen.
However, Ecstasy pills are rarely pure Ecstasy (MDMA). Usually, they are cut with other drugs, most often some form of speed (amphetamines or methamphetamines) or ketamine, but sometimes heroin or other opiates, and, every once in awhile, cocaine. I would assume they are also sometimes cut with other hallucinogens, like LSD or psilocybin (the active ingredient in magic mushrooms), but I can't recall taking or hearing about pills mixed with these drugs, so perhaps I am wrong.

Usually it is taken orally (swallowed) either in pressed tablet form or loose powder in a gel capsule. Sometimes people get "powder" MDMA in baggies and eat it (it is very bitter so not recommended) or they snort the powder. You can also pull the gel capsule open and snort the powder out of it. I recommend just swallowing it as a pill or putting it into your own gel capsules (you can pull open vitamin capsules and replace the powder in them with pure MDMA to make your own pills, if you got a loose bag of MDMA and don't want to eat it raw)

The precise answer to your question depends on factors that you have not stated, such as activity level, rate of dosage, and the person's individual metabolism.
We suspect that you are asking how much ecstasy (methylenedioxymethamphetamine) would be likely to cause an overdose. No actual lethal dose has been established in humans, because practically all ecstasy deaths are caused by overheating (hyperthermia) combined with dehydration -- in short, heat stroke. Most of the deaths have occurred at much higher than the typical dosage, which is usually ~100 mg.
Ecstasy deaths are more often caused by failure to manage the effects of the drug, rather than the direct action of the drug itself.
