South Korea has two holidays that might qualify.

On March 1, South Koreans celebrate what they call "Independence Day" which commemorates the March 1st Movement in 1919. On March 1 of this year, 33 Korean nationalists and students declared their nation's independence in Seoul. It started a nation-wide civil protest and was a catalyst for the establishment of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea (April 13, 1919).

On August 15, South Koreans celebrate what they call "Liberation Day" which commemorates the national liberation from Imperial Japan in 1945 as one of the terms of Japanese Surrender to the United States. On the same day in 1948, the government of the Republic of Korea was established.

The United States observes Memorial Day on the last Monday of May.

The Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador observes Memorial Day on 1 July.

South Korea observes Memorial Day on 6 June.

Armenia observes their Memorial Day, Genocide Remembrance Day, on 24 April.

Israel usually observes their Memorial Day, Yom Ha-Zikaron, on 4 Iyar of the Hebrew calendar.

The Independence Day of South Korea is celebrated on August 15.

South Korea does not celebrate Father's Day. They celebrate Parent's Day yearly on May 8.
