A product of IBM, Lotus Domino is both a web server, and an application server for the Lotus Notes client. Many people use this technology primarily for email, but Notes/Domino also has sophisticated application development features and is used to build collaborative applications.

That depends. The Lotus Elite is great, but it's a little confusing. It just takes time to figure out. the Lotus is also great, but it's older, so it has slightly older technology. And also, the Lotus Elite looks kinda funny, but in a good way. It just comes down to personal preference.

Sadly, no. There is a way, however, to run SS 9.8 on Vista and and Windows 7. First you must not use the CD's Autoplay feature as you did in previous Windows editions. Instead, open the CD in a file browser and run "setup.exe" as administrator.

Don't forget, Microsoft has eliminated the small program Winhelp32.exe in all version of Windows past the release of Vista so SmartSuite's online help files won't work as automatically as they once did. After receiving an error message box that says "macro failed to run," just click "OK and use the help files as normal
