contextualism--look at clues surrounding the passage to infer its meaning.

literalism--interpret exactly as written

It is also clear that the two are not necessarily mutually exclusive. The context may well determine whether a certain passage is to be taken literally or figuratively. Thus, a literal interpretation is called for unless indicated otherwise by the context. The two go hand in hand.

Difficult to say for sure, depending on what you call "Christianity"

Jesus was probably born not long before 4BC

Jesus probably died around 33AD

Our earliest Christian document is 1 Thessalonians, written in 52AD

By 70AD an orthodox church had been formed, as it was destroyed by the Romans.

A Christianity similar to the one we know today took off in 313AD when the Roman emperor Constantine converted.

Christian fundamentalism emerged in the 19th century with the concepts of biblical literalism and innerancy becoming significant.

The Flat Earth Society believes the earth is flat due to a range of beliefs and interpretations that they adhere to, including skepticism of scientific evidence, reliance on personal observations, and mistrust of mainstream sources of information. They often reject evidence from fields like astronomy and geology in favor of an alternative worldview that supports their belief in a flat earth.

The first is Literalism, which insists upon a strict interpretation of the actual words used in the Constitution.

The second is the Intent of the Framers, another technique that seeks to explain what the Framers at the time were trying to achieve in writing the constitution.

The third is the Balancing of Interests, which is a technique that helps balance the Individualism and the Communitarian specter of the Constitution.

The fourth and last one is the Stare Decesis, Latin for previous decision stands, is another technique of interpretation that remains useful in that the judge looks for precedents which resemble current controversy, finds the rule of law that was used in those cases, and applies it to the present case. In short, it is referring to the previous cases that were solved, this helps insure an incremental change in law rather than radical.

Using the distributive property of multiplication over addition, 2*[2 - 2] = 2*[2 + (-2)] = 2*2 + 2*(-2)LHS = 2*0 = 0

RHS = 4 + 2*(-2)

Therefore 2*(-2) = -4 and, by commutativity, -2*2 = -4

Next

-2*[2 - 2] = -2*[2 + (-2)] = -2*2 + -2*(-2)

LHS = -2*0 = 0

RHS = -4 + -2*(-2)

Therefore -2 times -2 = +4
