Liliiflorae

Wikipedia:

Liliiflorae

Liliiflorae is a botanical name, which may be used for a taxon at a rank above that of family, but not for a rank where Art 16 or 17 of the ICBN prescribes a standardised ending.

The Engler system, in its update of 1964, and the Wettstein system, last revised in 1935, used this name for an order placed in the class Monocotyledoneae / Monocotyledones of the subdivision Angiospermae. This order corresponded roughly to the later order Liliales. Today Art 17 forbids the use of this name in the rank of order.

However, the name has also been used for a superorder, which is allowed (but see Lilianae).
