In the 1950s by Charles Roland Douglass.

A laugh track is a sound effect to tell people when to laugh at the right time and when to use on the punchline, usually in a rimshot. Today, laugh tracks are used as an insult to a person's intelligence and to a person's sense of humor. A laugh track is an uncomfortable effect on television, thus making the show to get negative reviews by fans and critics alike. It is also used on Nickelodeon and on Disney Channel for unfunny children's sitcoms like Hannah Montana, iCarly, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, True Jackson VP and That's So Raven.

To be honest, I took A/V techniques at ITT Technical Institute last year, and my classmates do not mention laugh tracks in class. As a multimedia student, I forbid using laugh tracks in the media industry. They are very insulting, they hurt our minds, and the inventor has a lack of intelligence. With him dead, it is better to laugh alone or along with our families. We are not in the studios, we are in the living room.

Well, honey, let me tell you - "MAS*H" was not recorded in front of a live audience. It was actually filmed like a regular TV show, with multiple cameras and different angles. So, no need for a laugh track or a peanut gallery for this iconic series.

No. The laugh track and the clapping is pre-recorded. To be in the "audience" you have to be invited by the cast or crew, and even then you can only watch the run-throughs.

OK .There is a lot of ways, but one way that really seems to work is first make you boyfriend or girlfriend LAUGH! Not too much that they go off track, but a little laugh or giggle is perfect. But once you have made he\she laugh then just look at that person and just lean in and give a little peck or kiss. :) it will work !

In order to signal to the television audience that something is supposed to be funny, media producers often use a variety of comedic techniques such as exaggerated facial expressions, comedic timing, wordplay, physical humor, and situational irony. These techniques help create a humorous tone and engage the audience in the comedic moment. Additionally, sound effects, laugh tracks, and comedic music cues are often used to further emphasize the humor and prompt the audience to laugh along with the intended jokes.
