The most likely story is that von Baeyer and his colleagues went to celebrate their discovery in a tavern where the town's artillery garrison were also celebrating the feast of Saint Barbara - the patron saint of artillerists. An artillery officer is said to have christened the new substance by amalgamating Barbara with urea.[1]

It appears that JS Bach had two wives. In 1707, at the age of 22, he married his second cousin, Maria Barbara Bach with whom he had many children, only four of whom survived. Maria died suddenly in May 1720. The following year, Bach married again to Anna Magdalena Wilcken who was the daughter of a musician. She was a singer, harpsichordist and music copyist.
