= Years ago the media gave our illustrious Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio the title of "America's Toughest Sheriff". = = However, upon further review I also discovered that in “A Day with Sheriff Joe (1998) (V)”, a 30 movie made in Phoenix, AZ. Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Arizona, is the self-proclaimed "toughest sheriff in America." The inmates in his outdoor desert jail would probably agree. Dressed in pink underwear and being fed on a budget of $.33 a meal, they broil in the Arizona heat without air conditioning, television, or cigarettes. Filmmaker Ryan Noble spends a day with Sheriff Joe as he darts back and forth between his jail, community meetings, and the ever-present media opportunities. Between the various odd spectacles Joe lays out his philosophies about law enforcement and the future of America's penal system. In spite of the film's subtle jabs at the Sheriff, it was named in a billion dollar lawsuit against the Sheriff and Maricopa County, which saw its distribution permanently shut down. Written by Michael Van Wagenen =

I have also discovered that he has starred in these “Movies”. Who paid for them? Self:

  1. American Drug War: The Last White Hope (2007) (completed) (as Sheriff Joe Arpaio).... Himself
  2. The War on Drugs (2007) (as Sheriff Joe Arpaio).... Himself

No, Joe Arpaio is not a convicted felon. Such accusations are only his political opposition trying to fool voters.

Sheriff Arpaio is a veteran of the United States Army, a former police officer, and a former federal agent. Furthermore, even though the sheriff is an elected position, most counties require that they be commissioned law enforcement officers.

Felons may not be commissioned law enforcement officers under federal law.

Nothing happened, because President Obama's birth certificate is not forged. Sheriff Arpaio's claims got him some publicity in the conservative media, and especially with the "Birthers," the 19% of Republicans who continue to believe Mr. Obama was not born in America. But everyone else moved on with their lives, since the president's birth certificate has been repeatedly verified, time and time again.

He has stalked innocent people to get favors and intimidate families of beautiful women. He kills dogs that were defending their owners home when he entered illegally under false premises. etc etc. etc.

I would say he has everything in common.

Joe Arpaio could not make his case. While some people question whether he was born in the U.S., there is no evidence he was born elsewhere. No other country would claim Barack Obama. While some in the U.S. deny that Barack Obama was born in the U.S. all other countries including Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, North Korea, China, Russia, Egypt and Israel deny he was born in these countries. Like it or not we are stuck with him.

He says he did, but most objective sources believe this was another example of Sheriff Joe's ability to get publicity. He supposedly had a "posse" that was investigating the birth certificate, which made the Birthers (the group who insist that President Obama was not born in the USA) very happy. But as it always turns out, there was nothing for his posse to investigate, since the president was in fact born in Hawaii, as has been verified repeatedly. Sheriff Joe has since moved on to other issues.

No, there is no evidence Arizona's controversial sheriff is working with Satan (and it should be noted that not everyone believes in Satan's existence). Joe Arpaio is a very polarizing figure in law enforcement: some people love him and see him as "tough on crime," while others find him a cruel and bigoted person who torments prisoners just because he can. His critics are mystified by how he keeps getting re-elected, and yet he remains very popular with certain segments of the voting public. But Sheriff Joe's actions are entirely his own, based on his own belief about how a sheriff should do his job; they have nothing to do with Satan.

As of May 22, 2012, it is reported that approximately $40,000 had been expended on the Obama birth certificate investigation according to the Sheriff's Office. (Source: The Arizona Republic)

The AZ Republic reported that the Sheriff's Office claims that all money expended on the Obama birth certificate investigation was donated funds from private citizens, and that the investigation had used only volunteers. However, in May 2012 the Sheriff's Office acknowledged that a sworn deputy was in HI paid with taxpayer monies. The Sheriff at that time told The Republic that he anticipated reimbursement from private sources to recoup the taxpayer-funded investigation.

Its was reported that a private citizen group of Sheriff Joe Arpaio supporters attempted to pay for the trip, but Maricopa County Commissioners denied the request, which ultimately leaves Maricopa County taxpayers footing the bill.

Formally, not yet. However, I believe he does ideologically. It's kind of like this: Rush advocated Ron Paul's fiscal plan to one of his radio show callers, but then seems to endorse Mitt if you look at his homepage. Ultimately, a sheriff is tough on corruption abroad, as is Dr. Paul. It would only serve to reason that they should join forces by way of an endorsement on the sheriff's part, because they carry the same fight to different fronts. I hope my opinion on this helps.
