Hyperplasia of the filiform papillae of the tongue, frequently associated with oral moniliasis and the use of antibiotics or tobacco.
A benign condition of the tongue marked by elongation and often staining of the filiform papillae. Also called glossotrichia, trichoglossia.
Hairy tongue; elongation of papillae because of improper keratinization or desquamation of epithelial cells.
