I am sure there are lots of questions from Fermi, but I'll bet you mean the Fermi Paradox, which asks, "If there are ETs, where are they?" What he meant by this, is that the time to completely colonize the galaxy is very small compared to the age of the galaxy, so there should be ETs here if they exist at all!" So where are they--or alternatively what is wrong with this idea? For more on this please search "Fermi Paradox".

Opinion: in your imagination.
Another opinion: This is something Enrico Fermi famously asked, several decades ago. It's usually called "Fermi's Paradox".
If the Universe is so big it seems strange we have not detected any definite evidence of aliens.
There has been a lot written about this.
I suggest you search for "Fermi's Paradox".

The Fermi Paradox refers to the apparent contradiction between the high probability of the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations in the universe and the lack of evidence for, or contact with, such civilizations. It raises questions about why we have not yet detected any signs of intelligent alien life despite the vast number of potentially habitable planets in the universe.

A fermi gas is a model from quantum mechanics first proposed by Fermi. A neutron star is said to be an example of a Fermi gas, and that would indeed be a dangerous place.

1 Fermi is a quadrillionth of a metre ie 1 Fermi = 10-12 metre.

The Fermi energy of a material can be derived from the Fermi-Dirac distribution function, which describes the occupation of energy levels in a system at thermodynamic equilibrium. By setting the distribution function to 0.5 (at the Fermi energy), one can solve for the Fermi energy in terms of material parameters such as the electron concentration.

The three enigmas often referred to are the Fermi Paradox, the Drake Equation, and the Great Filter. The Fermi Paradox questions why we have not detected any signs of alien life, despite the high probability that it exists. The Drake Equation estimates the number of advanced extraterrestrial civilizations in our galaxy. The Great Filter theory speculates as to why we have not yet observed any other intelligent life in the universe.

The Fermi wave vector (k_F) of a fermi gas in a one-dimensional box of length L is given by the formula: k_F = n * π, where n is the number density of fermions in the box.
