Something well taught in the scriptures is that GOD loves humbleness and obedience far more than sacrifices which are mentioned in Vs. 32. When one sings and praises GOD it not only edifies the person but is a light to those about, especially the unbeliever, this is our light whereby GOD is glorified where as animal sacrifice required under the law was not edifying, cleansing, but part of a system of obedience for the people.

Aristotle's theory of tragedy, outlined in his work "Poetics," asserts that tragedy is characterized by the depiction of a protagonist's fall from greatness to ruin due to a tragic flaw (hamartia). Tragedy invokes feelings of catharsis in the audience, purging them of negative emotions through pity and fear. Aristotle also emphasizes the importance of unity of plot, character, and theme in creating a successful tragedy.

NO it's not beautiful. Have you taken a look at the "Does God Exist" page? Moral instruction can be applied by teaching ethical principles, such as honesty, kindness, and empathy, through modeling behavior, providing guidance, and offering reaffirmation when positive behaviors are demonstrated. It is important to emphasize values that promote respect for oneself and others, and to encourage critical thinking and reflection on how one's actions impact those around them. Consistent reinforcement of moral values in daily interactions can help individuals internalize these principles and make ethical decisions in various situations.

No one but you and God can know your true motives and thoughts. Are you going to enjoy the music, or are you going to ogle women, etc? That's between you and God. The music is also something to consider. What kind of music is it? Is it edifying to your spirit and to God? Will it negatively impact your walk? All answers that none but you can answer. I grew up the son of a pastor, christian school, christian university, so I know the quandary you are in. The best advice I can give you (which in itself is an oxymoron) is to listen only to your heart and your Lord. Good luck!

No, He didn't. In fact, the gift of prophecy was integral to the growth and edification of the first-century church. Ephesians 4:11, 12 - And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, Romans 12:6 - Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; 1 Corinthians 13:2 - And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

The reason members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon" church) do not swear or cuss is because of teachings found in the Bible. Verses such as Ephesians 4:29 "Let corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers." ; Colossians 3:8 "But now ye also put off... filthy communication out of your mouth" ; all of James Chapter 3; etc. explain that unkind or foul language is inappropriate and unacceptable to God.
In addition, many of the church's modern-day prophets and apostles have spoken on the topic. See the "Related Links" below to see what they have had to say on the topic of appropriate language.

In Ephesians 4:8, 11-13 speaks of five ministry gifts given to the Body of Christ by Christ after he ascended. "When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men...And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of miistry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ." KJV These gifts are also known as ascension gifts because Christ gave them after he descended and ascended in the earth and back to heaven. Scripture references: Ephesians 4:1-16 Christ descended to earth to redeem man; and ascended to heaven to glorify us.

There are many different ways that a Christian can use the Bible throughout the day. S/he can read it to help reinforce and refresh her/his memory. If s/he takes this Book seriously then s/he will put into practice what's been read. A Christian can help those who need it, speak words of edification and encouragement, spend more time with her/his family, seek forgiveness from those s/he has wronged, pray for her/his own needs as well as the needs of those who cross her/his path, volunteer her/his time helping those who are considered "less fortunate".... In other words, whatever is good, pleasing, edifying.....is what a Christian can do. Those things which are named in the Bible as pleasing to God and which further the Kingdom are ways that a Christian "uses" the Bible during the day. Above all, a Christian can pray, which is something the Bible explicitly "speaks" about many times over.

In the closing days of World War II, the British firebombed the city of Dresden. Dresden had no war industries, and was the cultural soul of Germany, embodying everything that was good or edifying in German culture. The people of Dresden and the government of Germany had deliberately avoided locating anything of strategic value in Dresden to preserve it's value as world heritage of architecture and art from destruction. Because of it's status as a nonstrategic target many noncombatant refugees, women and children had taken shelter there. Great Britain committed as heinous an act of terrorism as has ever been perpetrated against a civilian population. The Germans even located prisoners of war there to protect the prisoners from bombings, The British killed many captive soldiers, most of them Americans. Kurt Vonnegut's description in "Slaughterhouse 5" is relatively factual.

Prophets of God are gifts to mankind, whose purpose is to build up the body of Christ and promote the spiritual growth of whosoever will believe in Jesus Christ. In this respect it is their gifting which makes them tools of communication to people, especially those who are willing to receive edification from God in this way.
Ephesians 4:11-16 "And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; (12) For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: (13) Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: (14) That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, by which they lie in wait to deceive: (15) But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, who is the head, even Christ: (16) From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body to the edifying of itself in love."
1Corinthians 14:3-4 "But He that prophesies, speaks to men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. (4) He that speaks in an unknown language edifies himself; but he that prophesies edifies the church."
Hebrews 1:1-2 "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,(2) Has in these last days spoken to us by his Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds;"
______________
Obviously, the above answer has nothing at all to do with Judaism and Tanach/Talmud. Prophets are messengers of HaShem, they are able to understand the message that is given to them to be passed on. According to Judaism, there haven't been any prophets for around 2100 years.

According to legend, St. Catherine of Alexandria was beheaded in 305 CE, in Alexandria. However, we can not even be sure whether Catherine of Alexandria actually existed.
St. Catherine was never mentioned before the ninth century, and some assiduous research has failed to identify Catherine with any historical person. Donald Attwater calls the story of St. Catherine the most preposterous legend of its kind, citing the lack of any positive evidence that she ever existed outside the mind of some Greek writer who first composed what he intended to be simply an edifying romance. Even her name, which comes from the Greek katharos, ('pure'), is suspiciously apt for a virgin martyr, raising the possibility that her legend originated as an allegory. With no reliable information about St. Catherine, we can not say that any of the traditions about how or when she died are true.
