On December 8th, 2004, Darrell Lance "Dimebag" Abbott was shot by man named Nathan Gale at a Damageplan show in Columbus, Ohio. Due to a mental illness called Schizophrenia, Gale was convinced that the band Pantera had been stealing thoughts and songs from his head. Gale was also certain that Pantera would throw parties and laugh at him, because of their unfair success. After Pantera broke up, the Abbott brothers (Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrell) formed a band by the name of Damageplan, and played a show near Nathan Gale's home in Ohio. Gale thought of this as a perfect way to get revenge for what Pantera had done. He brought a handgun to the concert, snuck in through the backstage, and killed Dimebag Darrell, along with four other innocent bystanders. Several concertgoers were injured, as well, before police shot and killed him.

Dimebag Darrell played Dean guitars and Randall solidstate amplifiers, then he switched to Washburn guitars (Which looked almost exactly like the Dean ML or Razorback) and Krank all tube amplifiers. He later switched back to Dean guitars after his contract with Washburn was up. Both Dean and Washburn had Dimebag signature pickups

Oh, dude, Dimebag Darrell, the legendary guitarist from Pantera, was known to be a follower of the religion of Rock 'n' Roll! Like, he worshipped at the church of heavy riffs and killer solos. So, if you're asking about his official religion on paper, I'd say it was probably something like "Rock 'n' Rollism."
