Cy Young was Born on March 29, 1867 in Gilmore, OH. He made his Major League debut on August 6, 1890 for the Cleveland Spiders. Cy Young pitched 22 seasons, won 511 games, had a career ERA of 2.63. and never won the Cy Young Award. Cy Young was Inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame in 1937. On November 4, 1955 in Newcomerstown, OH Cy Young past away. The Cy Young Award was named in his honor the following year.
