Castela is a famous little hill in Piraeus, Greece. It can be seen fron the whole of Athens It overlooks the Saronic gulf and most houses have a panoramic view of the sea.
The majority of the people are intelectuals and artists. It is not an easy place to live. The streets are narrow, there is no parking, there are no shops and the rubbish is not frequently collected. The people are very touchy and often sue one another for various reasons.
So why do people live there? Because it is the most beautiful part of Athens and Piraeus, because you feel you are living in a village and because all residents are sacrificing amenities for the view. They open their eyes in the morning and watch the blue of the sea, the sailing and fishing boats.
