The term anatidaephobia is generally used to describe a person's fear of being watched by a duck. However, the Greek root word 'anatidae' means ducks, geese, and swans. There is some argument that the phobia also includes these birds.

Ducks are generally afraid of loud noises, sudden movements, and predators such as dogs, foxes, and hawks. They may also be wary of unfamiliar objects or environments that they perceive as threatening.

AnatiDaephobia

Anatidaephobia is the fear that somewhere, somehow, a duck is watching you.

Childhood Trauma is the most likely cause of this rare phobia.

My best guess would be some form of nightmarish childhood trauma. Maybe if a duck somehow entered a baby or toddler's room and snapped at them, then the duck walked away but never left the room. The baby or toddler would be transfixed at the duck, unable to sleep, and unable to leave the room, all the while wondering if the duck is going to come back and bite them again.

Also, this is not a real phobia, it comes from a Far Side comic by Gary Larson.

I really wouldn't say that any phobia is stupid, since someone has to have it to be even recorded. I think everyone has at least one phobia, and they may not even know about it. You may think one's stupid, and find out later that you have it.

There does not appear to be a scientific term to describe the fear of getting hit.

Perhaps the fear stems from the resulting injury if you were to be hit.

Traumatophobia is the fear of injury.

On Pimp Empires, DonDaddaphobia is the fear of hitting Don-Dadda.

A Phobia triggered by Traumatophobia, Often Delivered by Don-Dadda.
