Dumbledore's greatest fear was finding out who actually cast the spell that killed his sister Ariana. It was either Dumbledore himself, his brother Aberforth, or Grindlewald. I believe it was Grinldelwald because he fled the country after her death and Dumbledore never saw him again until their legendary duel in 1945. Dumbledore's reason for delaying his meeting with Grindelwald was because he was afraid he would find out the truth.

This answer depends on WHICH Dumbledore you are referring to. There is in fact two Dumbledores who appear in The Deathly Hallows. Aberforth Dumbledore is Albus Dumbledore's brother. He is first introduced when he sends Dobby to help Harry and friends out of a sticky situation. He also gives Harry and friends a place to hide from Death Eaters and shows them a way back into Hogwarts.
Albus reappears in the story as well, but simply as somewhat of a ghost or hallucination. He is simply there to answer questions that seemed to be left up in the air at the beginning of the novel.

No, Aberforth is not a popular name. It is quite rare and not commonly used.

It is the Aberforth Dumbledore, who is Albus Dumbledore's brother. At first Harry thought it to was Albus though that is impossible seeing as he is dead. The piece of the mirror is part of one of two Two Way Mirrors that Sirius had given Harry before he died, though Harry hadn't known what it was until after his god father's death. The reason Aberforth has it is because Mundungus had looted Grimmauld Place and found Sirius's mirror then sold it to Aberforth.

He was a dark wizard, educated at Durmstrang, who developed a friendship with Albus Dumbledore when they were young, when Gellert was expelled from Durmstrang and staying with his great aunt, Bathilda Bagshot.
Dumbledore and Grindlewald soon become friends but after Dumbledore sister's death they never spoke again, until Dumbledore was forced to battle Grindlewald which resulted in Grindlewald being placed in prison and Dumbledore becoming the owner of the Elder Wand.

Gellert Gindelwald (1840-1998) was a Dark Wizard defeated by Dumbledore in 1945, although the two were once great friends.
Great-nephew of Bathilda Bagshot, who was Dumbledore's neighbor when his family lived at Godric's Hollow, he struck up a friendship with Dumbledore when he came to visit his great-aunt. The two became obsessed with gaining power, particularly through the attainment of the Deathly Hallows. The break in friendship between Dumbledore and Grindelwald came when Aberforth Dumbledore confronted his brother and his friend about their plans, provoking a three-way duel. In the chaos, Ariana Dumbledore was killed, causing Grindelwald to flee the country.
Gindelwald eventually stole the Elder Wand, one of the Deathly Hallows, from the wandmaker Gregorovitch, but lost the wand to Dumbledore after their famous duel.
He founded the prison Nurmengard to hold his opponents, although he was sent there himself after his fall from power, and was killed there when he was confronted by Voldemort and told the latter that he no longer had the Elder Wand.

Albus Dumbledore didn't marry anybody.
He only ever loved one person in his life, Gellert Grindlewald. Together, Dumbledore and Grindlewald had plans to take over the wizarding world and control the muggles so that wizards could reveal themselves. However, Grindlewald was a lot more extreme with these plans than Dumbledore. One day, a fight between Albus, Gellert and Aberforth Dumbledore broke out which resulted in the death of Ariana Dumbledore. Either of the three men could have killed the girl. After this, Dumbledore didn't trust himself to take a position of power and never found love with anybody else.
Besides, under British law gay people couldn't get married at the time the series was set.

Arianna, his sister.
A fight broke out after an argument between Grindelwald and Dumbledore during their youth. Grindelwald and Dumbledore had a duel and Dumbledore believes he might have killed his sister by accident.
_____
There is no evidence Dumbledore killed Ariana. It could have been any of the three of them; Albus, Aberforth or Grindelwald. Dumbledore tells Harry that his greatest fear was that he struck the blow that ended her life, but Harry chooses not to ask whether he ever found out who was responsible for killing her, so we don't know. In fact, there is nothing any where that says Dumbledore killed anyone and considering his disdain for murder and the value he placed on intact souls (which are ripped apart when one kills), it is not likely he ever did.

Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald were friends after Dumbledore left school. Together they planned to overthrow the Statue of Secrecy and allow the Wizarding World to take power over the muggles "for the greater good." However, Dumbledore, Grindelwald and Albus' brother Aberforth got into a fight which resulted in the death of Ariana Dumbledore (Albus' sister), they parted ways and Dumbledore came to his scenes.
Dumbledore then avoided the inevitable battle with Grindelwald for as long as he could as he was in love with him. However, by 1945 things had gotten too far and Dumbledore stepped into battle and beat Grindelwald who was then imprisoned.

There was only one Albus Dumbledore, unless you are referring to the actors playing him. In the first two movies, he was played by Richard Harris. Richard Harris passed away before the series could be finished. The part was then played by Michael Gamdon for the remainder of the series.

Dumbledore asked Snape to kill Dumbledore. Over the summer between the 5th and 6th books, Dumbledore went looking for the ring Voldemort had stolen from his grandfather Marvolo Gaunt (well, actually, he stole it from his uncle Morfin Gaunt, who inherited it after Marvolo died), and which had originally belonged to Salazar Slytherin. Voldemort had made the ring into a Horcrux and put a curse on it.
What Voldemort didn't know was that the black stone in the ring was actually one of the Deathly Hallows -- the Resurrection Stone. Dumbledore had never gotten over the death of his baby sister Ariana, who was killed by a spell during the fight Dumbledore's brother Aberforth had with Dumbledore's friend, Gellert Grindelwald. Even though he knew the ring was probably cursed, he just couldn't resist touching the stone, because he wanted to see his sister again so badly.
Dumbledore immediately found Snape, and Snape was able to contain the curse in Dumbledore's hand. If Snape hadn't done this in time, the curse would have spread to the rest of Dumbledore's body and killed him fairly quickly. But even though Snape was able to contain the curse, Dumbledore was still doomed: he had only about a year to live.
So, since Voldemort was already planning to make Draco Malfoy kill Dumbledore, Dumbledore decided to ask Snape to kill him instead. Dumbledore knew that Voldemort didn't really expect Draco to succeed at killing him; Draco's parents had fallen out of favor with Voldemort, and Voldemort just wanted to heap more misery onto the family, by making them watch their son fail at the task and be killed for it. And even if Draco was able to kill him, Dumbledore didn't want Draco's soul to be damaged by murder. Also, if Snape killed Dumbledore, it would seemingly prove his loyalty to Voldemort, and ensure his continuing worth as an adept and loyal Death Eater.

It is not known who exactly cast the spell that caused Ariana's death. Albus Dumbeldore, Aberforth Dumbeldore and Gellert Grindelwald have an argument, culminating with they fighting each other with wands. Amidst the confusion, Ariana comes and gets hit by one of the spells causing her unstable magic to spill out (she was a Squib), and destroy her.
