If your printer is connected to your network but you're not seeing the print option on your computer, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot the issue:
Ensure the printer is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
Verify the printer's network status through its control panel or app.
Restart your printer and your computer. This can resolve many connectivity issues.
Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. You can usually download the latest drivers from the manufacturer’s website.
Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners on your computer.
Click on Add a printer or scanner. Your computer should search for available printers. If your printer appears, select it to add.
In the Printers & Scanners section, ensure your printer is set as the default printer.
Check for any error messages in the printer queue or on the printer itself.
If your printer is wireless, make sure the Wi-Fi signal is strong enough. Move the printer closer to the router if needed.
If using a firewall or VPN, temporarily disable them to see if they’re blocking the connection.
Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
Click on Add a printer or scanner, then select The printer that I want isn't listed.
Choose Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname and enter your printer's IP address.
Ensure no other printing software or applications are interfering. Close any unnecessary applications that may affect printer settings.
Ensure your operating system is up-to-date. Sometimes, system updates include important drivers and compatibility fixes.
If all else fails, remove the printer from your computer and reinstall it:
Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
Select your printer and click Remove device. Then follow the steps to add it again.
Conclusion
If the problem persists after trying these steps, consulting the printer’s manual or contacting the manufacturer’s customer support may be necessary for further assistance.

There may be multiple problems with the printer (or the ink cartridges):
Did you refill the ink cartridges? Use remanufactured ones? If so, then they may be: overfilled, heads/contacts worn out, ink level detector not reset (on some ink cartridges), etc.
Is anything (that's part of the printer or ink cartridges) broken? If so, it may be too broke to work.
Are the ink cartridges expired/dry? If they are expired, some printers say they don't detect them, thus they won't print. If they are dry, then they won't print. Try doing a head cleaning. Either with the printer's software, the printer's head cleaner button, or with cotton swabs and rubbing alcohol.
Did you touch the ink cartridges (where the printer's/ink cartridges instructions) said not to? If so, clean them.
Are the contacts on the ink cartridges/carriages dirty? If so, clean them.
Is the paper loaded/inserted? If not, load/insert the paper.
Are you using the wrong size/weight/amount of the paper? If so, please use the correct size/weight/amount of the paper.
Is the printer communicating with the computer? If not, plug 1 side of the USB Cable into the printer, then plug the other side into the computer.
Is the printer on? If not, turn it on. If this doesn't work, plug it in. Then turn it on.
Does the printer have a paper jam? If so, clear the jam.
Does the printer have objects in it? If so, get the objects out.
Is the printer dirty (on the inside)? If so, clean it.

The primary peripheral device most personal computer owners purchase is a printer. Once the printer is home, the owner has to decide exactly where to put it.
One problem that arises is that the printer can take up a lot of space. This is especially troublesome in a small room or office that may already be full of other equipment.
Another consideration is that the printer should be in safe place. Some printers do not weigh much and can be easily knocked off a desk and sent crashing to the floor.
Below are three of the best places to set up and use a printer.

Several types of printers used an ink or carbon ribbon in the way you described.
The daisy wheel printer and ball printer would spin a wheel that has the printable characters, then the wheel would strike the ribbon, leaving an imprint on the paper.
The dot matrix printer used a number of pins that struck the ribbon to generate a printable character.
The chain printer had several full sets of all printable characters on a long chain, and the chain spun rapidly on a track. As the appropriate printable character arrived at the proper location, a high speed solenoid driven hammer struck the chain, causing the ribbon to leave an imprint on the paper.

Frequently a manufacturer will have a "series" of printers with "different" numbers on the model. It looks like in this case, Lexmark made the 640 series, and the 645 is just a "new and improved" version of the 640.
If the printer works well on this program, then this is the case. When you go online to register the product, more than likely the 640 program will auto load a patch to enable the extra feature of the 645 to the base of the 640. It is standard operations for many printer manufacturers.
Should this not be the case, then it would be advantageous to connect to the Lexmark website and get the current program specified for your printer.

The pricing and availability of printer cartridges has improved dramatically in the last decade. Printer ink Canon cartridges are much more affordable for the devoted fan of the Canon printing platform, with cartridges lasting longer and printing more efficiently. If your HP D7560 printer has stopped dispensing black ink, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
Check Ink Levels: Ensure that the black ink cartridge isn't empty. If it is low or empty, replace it with a new cartridge.
Reinstall the Cartridge: Remove the black ink cartridge and then reinstall it. Sometimes a poor connection can prevent ink from dispensing.
Clean the Print Head: Use the printer's maintenance settings to run a print head cleaning cycle. This can help clear any clogs.
Check for Clogs: If the cleaning cycle doesn’t help, manually check the print head for any clogs. You can clean it gently with a lint-free cloth and some distilled water.
Update Drivers: Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. Check the HP website for any updates.
Print a Test Page: Try printing a test page to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if it’s a software or hardware issue.
Align the Print Head: Sometimes, misalignment can cause issues. Use the printer’s alignment function to correct this.
Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it for a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes reset any temporary issues.
If you've tried all these steps and the problem persists, it may be a hardware issue with the print head or the printer itself. In that case, contacting HP support or a technician might be necessary.

Printer toner supplies for laser printers are frequently a topic that does not get the attention it deserves. Many users are under the misconception it only OEM laser cartridges will be compatible with their printer and give them printing quality equivalent to what they experienced with the original cartridge. While there are some aftermarket cartridges that leave much to be desired, they are also many that are equal both in quality and longevity, while at the same time offering substantial savings.

Certain printers do, yes. These types of printers are called Laser Printers. The other type, which uses nozzles and ink cartridges, is called an Ink jet Printer.
The drum on a laser printer might not be the kind you're thinking of. It's actually just a big rotating tube that transfers the toner from the toner cartridge to the paper. The toner is particles that have a positive charge, and are attracted to the drum where there is a negative charge (The drum is negatively charged by a laser, thus the name Laser Printer).

When you are in the market to purchase printer cartridge ink, you may want to consider the possibility of having your cartridge refilled instead of purchasing a whole new cartridge from your nearest and most convenient office supply retail store. While you may think that having a cartridge refilled opens your printer up to damage from faulty cartridges, the truth of the matter is that ink refilling machines have come a long way from that day in age where such was the case.

Actually, all modern computer printers that use ink use a series of dots. However, on modern printers, the dots are so small you can't see them. If you can see dots, like you look at a letter like the letter "Z" and you can see that it is made up of dots, then the printer that printed it is a "dot matrix printer". These are printers that use a line of steel pins that press through an ink ribbon to make a dot on the paper. For normal home and office functions, these printers are extremely obsolete. New ink jet printers are very economical, and for normal home and office applications, that is what you should be using.

A low printer toner cartridge will produce poor page quality from a laser jet printer. It is best to have a replacement cartridge on hand so this can be immediately tended to.
When shopping for a replacement toner cartridge, the printer’s owner must consider how much they can spend. Personal or company budget compared with overall needs will ultimately dictate what type of replacement is used.
Listed below are the four basic options available when searching for a replacement printer toner cartridge.
1. Original Equipment Manufacturer
Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) toner cartridges are included when buying a laser jet printer. Someone very happy with the quality and longevity of the first cartridge may want to purchase the same one again.
This is almost always the most expensive option when buying a toner cartridge. However this choice offers the most customer piece of mind after purchase.
2. Compatible Cartridges
A compatible toner cartridge is produced by a different manufacturer than the printer and generally sold under a generic brand name. Buying a compatible cartridge can be half the cost of an OEM.
These cartridges are made with the same parts and can deliver the same performance as an OEM. A downside of compatibles is that a buyer must take extra steps to ensure they are dealing with a reputable company.
3. Recycled Cartridges
Many empty printer toner cartridges are sent back to a manufacturer and recycled. The recycling process involves cleaning the cartridge, replacing certain parts and refilling the toner.
A recycled cartridge, also know as remanufactured, will also offer the customer significant savings over purchasing an OEM. However, a buyer must be sure the company recycling toner cartridges is adhering to all quality control standards
4. Toner Refill Kits
The cheapest option when dealing with printer toner cartridge replacement is a refill kit. This allows customers the ability to refill their own cartridge with more toner and continue using the same one.
Although money is saved using a refill kit, the person doing the task must be sure to completely follow all directions. Improper cartridge refilling can lead to wasted resources or create a potential safety hazard.

Printer inkjet cartridges seem to have an uncanny ability to run out of ink at the most inopportune times. The way to avoid this scenario is to keep a minimum of one extra set of cartridges on hand at all times. Whenever you replace one or more cartridges, you immediately purchase replacements instead of waiting to buy cartridges when you are completely out of ink. This tactic will eliminate the stress and panic of an empty cartridge at the worst possible time.

The weight listing on paper refers to the thickness and stiffness of the paper or some would say the density by area. So, the higher the weight listing of the paper the thicker, stiffer and more opaque the paper will be. It should be noted that this will vary some by types of paper as 20 pound bond paper is not as thick or stiff as 20 pound cover paper.
