It can't be 1964 because no silver dollars were minted for circulation in 1964.

It can't have a CC mint mark because the Carson City Mint closed in 1893.

Please check again and post a new question. If your "coin" actually has that denomination, date, and mint mark it's either a fantasy piece or a fake.

1964 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball

A 1964 New York Yankees Signed Baseball with the key signatures: Berra, Mantle Ford, Howard, Maris, and Stottlemyre is worth about $800.-$1,000.

Value is based on average prices of recently closed auctions. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the baseball. Prices may also vary based on the amount of signatures, and key signatures acquired. The more complete the baseball with key signatures the more valuable.

If the signatures are not properly authenticated the baseball could sell at half the market value or less.

In 1964 Donald Campbell, son of Sir Malcome Campbell, broke the world water speed record on Lake Dumbleyung, Western Australia in his jet boat Bluebird. This record also confirmed a unique world record, I belive still standing, that a man broke the world water speed and the world land speed record in the same calender year. He achieved this with just hours remaining on the 31st December 1964! Not bad eh! The formal announcement was made at the Dumbleyung Tavern that evening! Happy New Year.

If I understand the question, with both Kennedy half dollars missing, the value would be for the silver quarters (2) and dimes (2) in the set about $8.00. The nickels and penny's in the set would be about 25 cents. A complete 1964 Mint set has a retail price of $30.00

1 answer

That's a very common date for half dollars, and they're currently worth a little over $10.

That would be an impossible coin for two reasons:

1. Franklin Roosevelt's picture has been on all dimes minted since 1946

2. President Eisenhower was very much alive in 1964 so his portrait could not appear on a circulating coin.

If you have a Roosevelt dime with that date, as of 02/2009 it's worth about 90¢ for the silver it contains.

This is a rather tricky question, there were some dollar coins minted in 1964 which have the Peace Dollar design, however, all of them were supposed to have been melted down and none have been independently confirmed and owning them is technically illegal. However, in recent years there have been 1964 fantasy silver dollars which many times don't have "COPY" stamped into them because there are supposed to be no 1964 silver dollars in existence. So as for finding the value I'd do a few things:

1. If it says "COPY" anywhere on your coin, it is a reproduction and only has value for its precious metal content (if it has any)

2. If it isn't the Peace Dollar design, it is a fantasy piece and only has value for its precious metal content (if any)

3. If it is the Peace Dollar design and it has no "COPY" anywhere on the coin, it still could be a copy and only worth its precious metal content (if any)

4. It is very, very, very, unlikely it is a real 1964 silver dollar, but if it is, it is worth a lot of money but is illegal to sell (or even possess). If you have any questions about your coin take it to a coin dealer, they will be able to tell you what it is, what metal it is made out of and what it is worth.

Yes, one cent. Billions were minted.

And the "D" is called a mint mark, not a stamp. Cents with a D under the date were made in Denver. Those with an S came from San Francisco, and the ones without any letter were made in Philadelphia.
