In the 1930's the colored people were treated badly because back then the "white" people didn't think "Black" people were just as equal to them. They didn't feel as though "blacks" were equal enough to be treated the same. That's why back then there were separate resturaunts,separate schools, separate bathrooms, separate water fountains, etc

With this serial number you might have one of only 2000 to 3000 colts ever produced with this trigger and rear sight combinations. Most colts of this era have had the main spring housing replaced with a hardened housing to accept high velocity ammo. If it has the original mainspring housing and box this is a woodsman collectors must have. I have only seen one come up for auction in the last two years and it fetched $1589 without a box.
