== == The tropical seasonal forests can be found in India, South East Asia, West Africa, the West Indies and Northern Australia. They are located between the tropical rain forests and the tropical savannas. Characteristics of the Tropical Seasonal Forest: These forests have a distinct wet and dry season. They have fewer climbing plants than the tropical rain forests. Many species are deciduous in eastern North America, Western Europe and Asia. They grow well in areas that have wet and dry seasons. The trees shed their leaves in the dry season. The trees are not close together. The oldest trees in the tropical seasonal forest are the bristle cone pines. They are believed be more than 4600 years old. Trees in the tropical seasonal forests tend to be larger than trees in eastern Canadian forests. They grow to heights of 100 feet ( 30 metres ). Monkeys and frogs, spiders, kangaroos, koalas and rabbits live in the tropical seasonal forest.

Temperate Rainforest Mainly found along coasts in temperate zones. The largest temperate rainforests are found on the Pacific coast of North America. They stretch from Oregon to Alaska for 1,200 miles. Smaller temperate rainforests can be found on the southeast coast of Chile in South America. There are a few other coastal strips with temperate rainforests, including small areas in the United Kingdom, Norway, Japan, New Zealand, and southern Australia.

Tropical Rainforest Located near the equator. Fifty seven percent of all tropical rainforests are found in Latin America. One third of the world's tropical rainforests are in Brazil. Other tropical rainforests are located in Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands (25% of the world's tropical rainforests) and West Africa (18%).

Also tropical rainforests are found in more humid areas whilst temperate found in not so hot areas

All the tropical rainforests are near the equator, therefore, they are a lot hotter. Temperate rainforests can be anywhere in the world (theres even one in Scotland!) therefore their temperatures vary. Because Tropical Rainforests are hot, their range of animals is bigger than the animals you find in a Temperate Rainforest.
