An Associate's in Applied Technology (AAT) is the same thing as an Associate's in Applied Science (AAS). To get an AAT, you must choose a major to study. About 15 of the classes for the AAT will be classes related to your major, and about 5 classes will be general education classes like Math and English. An AAT degree is for people who would like to only go to college for 2 years before working full-time. It is not for people who want to pursue a Bachelor's Degree. The pros: AAT degrees are awarded at technical colleges, which are very inexpensive. Also, you only take classes for 2 years. The cons: Bachelor's degrees are becoming more and more necessary for success, and an AAT may not be advanced enough for your career goals.

I've poured enough drinks to know that people don't always want advice—they just want to talk.
